Working For Us

School inspectors and consultants are employed on a contractual basis, usually for a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 120 working days in a school year. Our requirement fluctuates and there are no set times to apply, although annual contracts are issued in June for the following academic year, there are sometimes opportunity to begin at other times depending on service demands. Applications are welcome at any time as we seek to replenish our large team of inspectors to sustain high quality inspections, build capacity for new work and because of rapid expansion of international inspection and school consultancy activity.

College inspections. We have a register of additional inspectors who are employed to work alongside HMI on inspections of general further education, tertiary and sixth form colleges; specialist colleges such as art and design and land based; and Independent Specialist colleges. Additional inspectors are deployed according to their subject/vocational specialism and expertise, although some inspect cross-college aspects.

Our current international work includes delivering inspections of schools and adult education colleges, training inspectors and teachers, managing schools and offering consultancy in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
